Great Wall to West Lake

Day 3 | Imperial Beijing

Visit Tian’anmen Square and explore the magnificent Forbidden City. Later, wander through Beijing’s historic hutongs before enjoying a traditional Peking Duck dinner.

Day 4 | The Great Wall

Walk along the Great Wall and take in the surrounding mountain scenery. Visit a jade workshop before continuing to the Summer Palace and its beautiful gardens and traditional architecture.

Day 5 | Beijing to Xi’an

Travel by high-speed train to Xi’an. Explore the lively Muslim Quarter before enjoying a Dumpling Banquet followed by a Tang Dynasty dance performance.

Days 6–7 | Ancient Xi’an

Try traditional Chinese calligraphy, explore the Muslim Quarter and enjoy a Dumpling Banquet with a Tang Dynasty performance. The next day, visit the Terracotta Warriors, walk the ancient City Wall and stop at a local brewery.

Day 8 | Xi’an to Yichang

Fly to Yichang and board your Yangtze River cruise ship.

Days 9–11 | Yangtze Three Gorges Cruise

Cruise through the spectacular Three Gorges and visit the Three Gorges Dam. Enjoy dramatic river scenery and shore excursions to Shennü Stream or Shennong Stream.

Day 12 | Chongqing to Chengdu

Disembark in Chongqing and explore Ciqikou Ancient Town before continuing to Chengdu for an authentic Sichuan dinner.

Day 13 | Pandas & Dali

Visit the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base before flying to Dali.

Days 14–15 | Discover Dali

Explore Xizhou Ancient Village, visit the Yan Family Mansion and cruise across Erhai Lake. Discover Dali Ancient Town and the Three Pagodas before travelling by high-speed train to Kunming.

Day 16 | Stone Forest

Visit Kunming’s UNESCO-listed Stone Forest, where towering limestone pillars create one of Yunnan’s most distinctive landscapes. In the evening, enjoy Crossing the Bridge Noodles.

Day 17 | Kunming to Guilin

Travel by high-speed train to Guilin and explore Ronghu Lake, the ancient South Gate and the landmark Sun and Moon Pagodas.

Days 18–19 | Guilin & Yangshuo

Cruise the Li River through dramatic karst scenery to Yangshuo. Enjoy Tai Chi, a countryside walk and a relaxing foot massage, with free time to explore at your own pace.

Day 20 | Return to Guilin

Visit Reed Flute Cave and admire its colourful stalactites and stalagmites.

Days 21–22 | Hangzhou

7 Fly to Hangzhou and visit Lingyin Temple and West Lake. Enjoy a boat cruise on the lake before continuing to Suzhou.

Day 23 | Suzhou

Explore the Humble Administrator’s Garden and take a boat ride along the historic Grand Canal.

Days 24–25 | Shanghai

Discover the Bund, Nanjing Road and Jin Mao Tower before enjoying a night cruise on the Huangpu River. The following day, visit Yu Garden, the Old City and a silk workshop before watching the ERA acrobatics show.

Day 26 | Farewell Shanghai

Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
